TheIn ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the TheIn mobile application (the "App").
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
Usage data. We track the number of AI analyses you perform each day to enforce free-tier limits. This data is stored in our database and associated with your account.
Photos. Photos you submit for analysis are converted to base64 and sent directly to our AI processing service. Photos are never stored on our servers. They are processed in memory and immediately discarded after the analysis is returned to your device.
Subscription data. If you subscribe to TheIn Pro, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
Photo analysis is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. When you submit a photo, it is sent to Anthropic's API solely for the purpose of generating conversation starters. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos to train any AI models.
Account and usage data are stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the App (Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, Apple, Google) and only to the extent required to provide our services.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Daily usage records are automatically reset each day. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
TheIn is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above or through in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
